Just wanted to post some pics of random happenings and projects we had coming in and out of the shop recently. We've been working closely with a few guys and gals in the city for some custom one-off colored mopeds and parts. Here's a few before pics of the purple bike. Ill post some afters once everything gets completed and assembled. Here are some more bikes. From Left to Right: 1) A mini bike that we just finished coating with a metal flake High Gloss Teal. 2) Steve's Puch Maxi with custom dual-tank setup. Will be shot in RAL Chocolate Brown. The Nut Brown was not dark enough but I'll post some pics of that one too. 3) Jake's Frame. 4) Luke's frame and seat, now currently in Silver Vein. Wide range of projects and builds going on. We will work with you on any project you may have. Mini bikes, bare frames, complete bikes, custom builds, mo-peds, no-peds, cages, etc. Here's the after of the first pic. The tank and frame were coated in Purple Wave. The smaller black frame is Super Mirror Gloss Black. Other bikes here are T's CB650, John's XS750, another Cb650, CL360, and the back of a little Honda Express 2-speed.

T's Bike progress, outdated now, but better late than never..
Here's T's work in progress. By now, its got the electrical almost wrapped up, the carbs hooked up, the cables working, brake light installed, headlight working, etc. She just needs some oil and gas and we should have her running. Then a chain and she's on the road again. It's a cb650 platform, which we stripped, ground down, and cut off all excess material. He wanted to keep to a non-ridgid for comfort and driveability. The frame and swingarm was stripped, blasted and coated with Copper Vein. The forks, brakes, triple trees, and other odds and ends were coated in Super Mirror Gloss Black. Brake levers and starter covers were coated in Metallic Gold. Who is dis guy??
gettin farther along with cb360 build.
We finished up the seat pan last night along with some other miscellaneous odds and ends. She now rolls, stops, and has started getting some electricity flowing through her. The seat just got dropped off for some upholstry work, along with T's seat. Hopefully they come back looking sharp... Here's the bike as it sits, the battery tray needs to be remounted, but a temp mockup borrowing my own (work in progress) tank. Close up of the seat pan before upholstry.

S10 Lovin'
The other day I finally got around to blasting and shooting 2 of the steelies I had from my old truck. I shot 'em in Metallic Red. Compared the old red rattle can job they used to be, they are 100x better. The gloss, reflection, durability, and quality of powder coating isn't even a fair to compare with a rattle can job.
Metallic Red, rim one.
Rim 2.
The tires I just finished up as well. Nothin' like an angle grinder on rubber. My shoes, pants and sweatshirt were covered in rubber shavings, and the smell of burning rubber hasn't left me since..
Heres a shot of the tire and wheel mounted on the truck in the back of the bikes and frames piled up in the shop during spring cleaning.
I'll grab some more pics of just the wheels and tires on the truck when I finish up the rear wheels.
And finally, the surprise addition. Custom wide whites and fresh rims look great, but ya can't have white walls and steelies with out some solid hubcaps. So, some brand new chrome Moon reproduction hubcaps were sent to my house...
Jake loves getting artsy...

Other bike builds going on
Just finished up Jake's bike frame and swingarm. No pics of the swingarm but the same color as the frame. Silver Vein Base coat, finished with Anodized Red over the top. It looks pretty killer. It's got a dark evil bike. We're all very interested to see what direction this bike's gonna be headed in the future.

She got a little dusty after the curing, but heres a close up with light to show how the color changes.

Jake going for a test drive on his new, refreshed bike.
Kevin's Bike cont'd.
Got the battery tray figured out. Smaller battery was the way to go. I even had room to throw the regulator and rectifier in the box and clean everything up.
Here's the actual rear shocks for the bike. Black shock tubes and chrome springs and top.
The center/kickstands are now working as I found the springs.
Finally Some Documentation of Kevin's Bike Build
So here's a few shots of the bike when I picked her up and brought her home. It was nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to old bikes. It was a two for one sort a deal so I got both the CB360 as well as the CL360 behind it, which will be donating its pipes to my own bike. After about 10 minutes of tinkering back at the shop, I had her fired up and running, and another 5 minutes made the first test ride up the lot and back.
Kevin came by later on in the market for a bike, so we started planning out his bike build...
After some conversing and discussion, here's what we came up with so far.
Strip her down, remove all unnecesary extras, Wide White Walls, red rims, and some major refreshing/restoration, and an all around sprucening up. After some days during disassembly, grinding, sandblasting, and fabricating, we got around to powder coating some parts.
Super Mirror Gloss Black Frame and Swing Arm.
Polished Fork Tubes, Satin Black Triple Trees and Fork Legs.
Blood Red Rims
Hand polished spokes (all 72 of em).
Satin Black Hubs
Dunlop Wide Whites
After some more time putting things back together and stealing some extra parts off other bikes she became a roller once again. The rear shocks borrowed from the cb650 made it look really tall in the back, but it was only temporary.
Moped Exhausts and a Bloody Lip..
After another long day at the shop, a lot was accomplished and progress was made. It was all smooth sailing in the powder coating world. I managed to mask off the moped exhaust, shoot the hi-temp black, which completely covered me, and then lay down the second coat of fluorescent orange. Then shot the clear, let everything cure, and it came time to remove the tape I had used to mask off the pipe. Wha-Bam! The tape came off much easier then expected, and flew right into my face, sending my tooth into my lip. Thats gonna look great in the morning. But the important part is, the pipe came out great...

Wrinkles
Just coated a Harley air cleaner cover in wrinkle black for a new customer up the street from the shop. Everything on his bike was black themed except for this chrome cover, and that was just plain driving him crazy. So after a few emails he dropped the cover off and AOP & Coatings went to work! He came back a few hours later to a finished product and sent these pictures over after the install was complete. Looks good Eric!
